HIGH-DUCTILITY PRODUCTS

Eurocodes for planning reinforced structures distinguish three classes of steel according to ductility parameters, which are independent of the class of resistance:

1. high-ductility steels (high-ductility hot rolled)
2. normal-ductility steels (hot-rolled)
3. low-ductility (cold-rolled)

There are considerable differences between the three classes of ductility, as can be seen in the curves shown in the graph below, which illustrates the load-deformation obtained during the tensile test.

The technological innovation resulting from Alfa Acciai's commitment has given us a single high-ductility class for all products:
. electro-welded meshes
. electro-welded girders
. hot rolled rods in coils
. hot rolled bars
. hot rolled recoiled wire
. hot rolled spooled coils
