Thanks to all the advantages listed earlier, these steels are suitable for use when:

• non-linear calculations are made or when limited redistribution is allowed on flexing moments

• the steel has to absorb a considerable amount of energy to prevent structured collapse

• hyperstatic structural elements are planned

• old buildings or structures are being revamped
